Ole Gunnar Solskjaer opens up on snubbing Liverpool move and opting for Man United in 1996

Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has claimed Liverpool attempted to sign him back in 1996.
On the cusp of signing for United, the Norwegian has said the Reds as well as Bayern Munich were interested in acquiring him from Molde.
But Solskjaer, who would go on to become a club legend at Old Trafford scoring 126 times, has now revealed the reason he snubbed a potential move to Anfield.
He told United’s official website: Were Liverpool and Bayern Munich in for me? Yes, [and] Cagliari, PSV and a couple of other teams.
