There are now 325 confirmed cases of Covid-19 across Yorkshire
The number of patients who have tested positive for coronavirus in Yorkshire has increased by 57 in 24 hours.
The total number of cases in the region increased from 268 cases on Monday to 325 after day one of lockdown in the UK. You can follow live updates on the coronavirus outbreak here.
Prime Minister Boris Johnson ordered people to stay in their homes in a ministerial broadcast on Monday night to try and stop the spread of Covid-19. You can read more about the reasons people are allowed to leave their homes here.
Health Secretary Matt Hancock announced on Tuesday that an NHS volunteers scheme has been launched to recruit 250,000 people to support the NHS. You can read more about that here.
He said: We are seeking a quarter of a million volunteers, people in good health to help the NHS, for shopping, for the delivery of medicines and to support those who are shielding to protect their own health.
The number of patients who have tested positive for Covid-19 in the UK increased to 8,077 today with significant increases in Yorkshires 13 local authorities.
Hull and East Riding reported no new cases of the virus today.

The first death of a patient with coronavirus in the East Riding was confirmed at the weekend after a man in his 60s with underlying health conditions died at Castle Hill Hospital in Cottingham.
At the moment, the number of cases in East Riding stands at 16, with one further case in Hull. A patient in Hull who contracted the condition earlier this month is one of 135 people across the UK who have recovered.

Sheffield continues to have the highest number of confirmed cases in the region, rising from 106 on Monday to 130.
So far, there has been 422 deaths in the UK from coronavirus.
